About Dr. Steven Fain
Some people choose one calling. Dr. Steven Fain chose to say yes to all of them — and spent a lifetime pouring himself into every single one.
Over the course of more than four decades, Dr. Fain has served as a pastor, a Clinical Psychologist, a School Psychologist, and an author — and in every role, the mission has been the same: to help people understand themselves, heal what is broken, and move forward with purpose, dignity, and hope.
A Life of Service
Dr. Fain served as a pastor for 40 years, shepherding congregations through every season of life — grief, celebration, crisis, and renewal. He knows what it means to sit with people in their hardest moments and to speak truth with both compassion and conviction.
As a Clinical Psychologist, he has spent decades working with individuals, families, and children navigating anxiety, neurodivergence, autism, and the full spectrum of human struggle. His approach is always the same — meet people where they are, with tools that actually work and hope that is genuinely grounded.
Today, Dr. Fain serves as one of six School Psychologists for Gadsden City School System in Alabama — working daily on the front lines with children and families who need someone in their corner. It is this work, combined with everything that came before it, that shapes every word he writes.
A Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Dr. Fain was married for 44 years to his beloved wife Kay — his childhood sweetheart, his partner, and the woman who stood beside him through every chapter of his extraordinary life. Together they raised two sons and were blessed with a grandson and four granddaughters, including his beloved granddaughter Storm.
Faith, family, and legacy are not just themes in his books. They are the architecture of his life.
An Author With Something to Say
In the past two years, Dr. Fain has authored more than 10 books — an extraordinary body of work spanning neurodivergent self-help, parenting, anxiety, artificial intelligence and humanity, faith-based children's resources, and therapeutic coloring and journal books. Each one is written not from theory alone, but from the trenches of real clinical experience and real human living.
His books have reached readers across the country, generating hundreds of glowing reviews from parents, educators, clinicians, and individuals who finally feel seen and understood.
Whether you found Dr. Fain through a book on autism, a guide for anxious minds, a conversation between a father and child, or a reflection on what it means to remain human in the age of AI — you are in the right place. Every book in this store was written with you in mind.
His Mission
"I write because I believe every person deserves to be understood — and because the right words, at the right moment, can change everything."
— Dr. Steven Fain
