About the Author
Dr. Steven Fain
Retired Pastor • Clinical Psychologist • School Psychologist • Author
For more than four decades, Dr. Steven Fain has stood at the intersection of faith, family, and mental health — serving children, parents, and communities who needed someone who understood both the human soul and the human mind.
After 40 years in ministry as a pastor, Dr. Fain earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology and dedicated the next chapter of his career to the children and families who needed him most. He currently serves as one of six School Psychologists for the Gadsden City School District in Alabama, where he works daily with children facing learning differences, mental health challenges, and the full weight of what it means to grow up in a complex world.
His books are not written from a distance. They are written from the front lines — from thousands of hours with real families, real children, and real struggles. Every page carries the voice of someone who has sat across from parents in crisis, walked beside neurodivergent individuals searching for their footing, and refused to give up on any child as too complicated or too far gone.
What Drives His Writing
Dr. Fain writes because he believes information saves lives. He writes because too many parents are handed a diagnosis with no roadmap. He writes because neurodivergent individuals deserve guides built for the way their minds actually work — not the way the world wishes they did. And he writes because faith and psychology are not opposites. They are partners.
His catalog spans neurodivergent self-help, anxiety management, parenting, the parent-child relationship, child suicide prevention, and the growing intersection of artificial intelligence and human flourishing — all grounded in clinical expertise, pastoral wisdom, and deep personal faith.
